That which may be known of God is made known in them (Romans 1:19)
The Stars are numbered and named. There are twelve signs of the Zodiac called the Stars. Genesis 37:9, says that the eleven stars bowed down to Joseph, Joseph being the twelve.
The word Zodiac means the degree or steps which mark the stages of the Sun's path through the heavens, corresponding with the twelve months.
The Stars were all named by God, Psalm 147: 4 reads, He tell the number of the stars; he call them all by their names. Most of the names of the stars have been lost, but there are over one hundred names still being used by Astronomers today although their meaning is unknown to them.
The stars are constant, they do not change in their prediction. God is a God that changes not
Many of them are used in the scriptures, like in Job 9:9, Job 9:8 Which alone spreads out the heavens, and treads upon the waves of the sea Job 9:9 Which makes Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. Job 9:10 Which does great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
Job 38:31 Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Job 38:32 Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? Job 38:33 Know you the ordinances of heaven? can you set the dominion thereof in the earth?
Amos 5:8 Seek him that make the seven stars and Orion, and turn the shadow of death into the morning, and make the day dark with night: that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
In Genesis chapter one, God created the stars for signs and seasons, for days and year. For 2,500 years, the revelation of the hope which God gave in Genesis chapter three, was presented in the naming of the stars and their grouping in the signs and constellations.
